What a start! In just 10 days, our SwimRun community has already covered an incredible 7,351 km. Even more impressive: 13 athletes completed 10 SwimRuns in 10 consecutive days! 👏
🎉 Congratulations to Clarissa Fröberg (Team Frostbite, Sweden), winner of the free slot to Backwaterman/Austria for the My SwimRun World Championships Marathon on June 28.
The team spirit has been amazing, with athletes training and collecting kilometers together across the World.

The title champion Michael Gerlach set a clear sign for his ambition with a 142 k Ultra SwimRun over 2 days with 4 persons of his team Floating Rockets and Marcel from K & K Flowmotion as a one way trip over night carrying a 15 k backpack.

Last year we reached an incredible milestone:
17,108.5 km of SwimRun, 174 starters, 12 nationalities, and 24 teams.
In 2026, we want to go even further — more teams, more athletes, more shared adventures. The Friendship Battle is not just about numbers. It’s about pushing limits together, supporting teammates across borders, and celebrating the spirit of SwimRun.
Whether you are chasing new distances, building team spirit, or simply enjoying the freedom of training in nature — this challenge is for you.
Form your team, gather your friends, and become part of a global community that shares one passion: SwimRun and friendship.
Every session counts. Every kilometer matters. But most importantly: every participant makes the community stronger.
Join us, inspire others,
and help us create an even bigger SwimRun Friendship Battle 2026.
Our most important Rules:
- A Team consists of 5 - 10 participants
- A SwimRun consists of a total distance of at least 2 km, with 2 swimming and running sessions each and should aim for at least 5% - recommended 10 % of swimming
- Any number of sessions can be completed per day.
- You upload the data with 24 hours in our system
- We rank according to persons (male/female), teams and nationalites
- Emphasis on motivation and fun over dishonesty and you participate at different lotteries and challenges

DISCOVER the refreshing difference of SwimRun with it's fast course
Germany, 5th July 2026
Wonderful forest paths characterize the different distances as well as the Grienericksee, the enchanted village Warenthin or the Poetensteig, on which already the famous German writer Theodor Fontane walked. Just before the finish, the views of the city and Rheinsberg Castle are at their best. Nature, sports and lots of fun are guaranteed on the most refreshing day of the year!
Participants will have the following options.
- The SuperSprint (4.4 km running /1.0 km swimming) is offered for all newbies and short distancers.
- The Sprint over approximately 11.3 kilometer (and 2 km swimming) as well as the
- SwimRun about 21,4 kilometer on land and 3.5 kilometer in the water.
In addition,
- there are youth races tailored to the age groups.
The German capital is not just about fashion trends and partying, but is also a well-known hotspot for endurance athletes, including its surrounding area.

SwimRun Hydra once again delivered all the ingredients for MORE than just a race.
The beautiful village and stunning landscape set the stage for a three-day community celebration.
With many international participants — especially a strong group of French women — the atmosphere was incredible from the very beginning, all the way through to the finish line and the lively party nights.
The race itself was only the centerpiece of a truly memorable weekend.
A new addition this year was the Rookie Distance of 7 km, and from the first beer at the finish line to countless opportunities to make new friends, this event will surely stay unforgettable.

To qualify for the Marathon, you must either win one of the official qualifier races or secure a spot in the top 250 of the 2024 qualification rankings.

Enjoy the sandy beaches and cliffs of the New England coast while racing SwimRun Cape Cod, close to Boston.
This unique race — one of the few swimruns held in the United States — offers two distances.
The longer course offers 16 kilometers of running and 3k of swimming across seven fresh-water crossings. The shorter distance offers 7k of running and 1.5k of swimming with four swim segments. You may race solo, or form a team of two.

On September 13, 2026, the beautiful Dąbrowa Lake District in Poland hosted a truly special edition of the Asekol SwimRun z’Ostra, part of the MySwimRun Championships.
With four crystal-clear lakes, scenic trails, and an atmosphere full of team spirit, the event offered unforgettable moments for both kids and adults – from the energetic Family SwimRun to the competitive 28 km Half Distance.

The 11th edition of Immeln Swimrun took place on the 23rd of August and brought together 216 participants from 9 different countries. It turned into a day that truly embodied what the race is all about: community, nature, and adventure.
As the races ended, the celebration carried on. Thanks to the included ticket for Musik vid Immeln, many athletes stayed into the night to enjoy live music, food, and a vibrant festival atmosphere by the lake — a perfect ending to a perfect day.
Immeln Swimrun 2025 will be remembered as a record-breaking edition, and one that left us deeply proud and grateful to share with the international swimrun community. Your energy, your spirit, and your love of adventure in nature are what make this race so special.

It was a perfect day out with some sun, little wind and perfect water temperature. The nature reserve showed his best places with technical trails, adventurous jumps and many varied swims between 25m and 1000 m .
Wolffwear created a perfect atmosphere and attracted many foreign starters. One of them, the prominent Kebab Team with Arnaud and Pierre de Lustrac posted the fast time for the new 23 k route with 2.37.07

Last weekend’s Kuopio Backyard Swimrun delivered some truly impressive performances. Personal records were shattered, and even first-time swimrunners showed that beyond experience, it’s solid base fitness and overall psychophysical endurance that really count in this format. Athletes pushed themselves for 15–19 hours
In the Fighters series, the field began to narrow after 15 laps. An hour later, only the top three remained. After 18 laps – roughly 75 kilometers – the race continued with two of the strongest athletes: Iida and Niina.
The final showdown saw Niina Muona starting lap 20 – which she completed with strength and determination, earning the overall race victory!

The route winds around the Bilancino lake in the Barberino del Mugello area. It’s a single lap with a total of approx.. 15/18 sections and a max D+ of 350mt. The track passes through areas of various types such as woods, pains, countryside with almost ever touching asphalt.

Backwaterman 2025,
29th of June 2025, Ottenstein, Austria
– The Special One offered stunning variety in Austria’s Waldviertel.
A new hotspot at Deckerspitz boosted motivation as marathoners passed five times.
Athletes faced rocky exits, forest trails, sun-drenched sand roads, and castle ruins.
The race began at 9:00 a.m. in 25°C heat, with four distances offered (32–8 km).
Former elites Schiemer & Krenn dominated the team race after strong swims.
Julian Mittermayr claimed the solo men’s title after Götz withdrew injured.
Martina Bolvary (My SwimRun World Champion half) won the women’s race.
All marathon finishers were knighted in a unique post-race ceremony.
Two age groups were ranked in solo and team categories.
Backwaterman once again proved why it’s a true SwimRun legend.

🏁 New Record: 17,108.5 km!
The 2025 SwimRun Challenge was a massive success! Over 17,000 km were covered by participants from across Europe, averaging 110.4 km per person.
The Floating Rockets (GER) defended their team title, while newcomers like Come On SwimRun (INT) and SwimRun Sumin (PL) made strong debuts in the Top 10. Michael Gerlach and Nargiza Sharipova topped the individual rankings.

SwimRun Rheinsberg 2025 – World Titles Decided in Extreme Heat
SwimRun Rheinsberg 2025 took place under blazing summer conditions with 35°C air and 24°C water temperatures. More than 600 athletes competed, including around 120 international starters in the My SwimRun World Championships – Half Distance.
On a fast but challenging course of 21.4 km (3.5 km swim, 263 m elevation gain), Poland’s Maciej Kubiak narrowly defeated Finnish favorite Sampo Hyppölä. In the women’s race, Germany’s Celia Jentzsch secured her second world title with a commanding lead.
Team victories went to the Polish men’s duo Maculewicz/Pietrzak, Team Envol Berlin in the women’s category, and Team Tofu in the mixed division.
Germany’s largest Family SwimRun, with 60 parent-child pairs, added a special community highlight. As always, the SCC Berlin team delivered top-level organization and safety, while the electric atmosphere at the legendary finish line and many excited first-timers made this an unforgettable edition.

Perfect conditions welcomed the athletes at the first My SwimRun Championships Sprint at Costa Azahar, near Valencia. The air was 25°C, the water 22°C, and although there were some waves, they were manageable. The finish line offered a great view of the beautiful landscape.

First Weekend Results Are Now Official!
It was a fantastic start! Despite the cold water temperatures in the north, a total of 1,717.5 km were completed on the first weekend. That means an average of 17 km per active participant.
In the team ranking, "The Turbo Tadpoles – die Kraulquappen" from Germany took the lead with an average of 27.6 km, followed by the Floating Rockets (also from Germany) with 22 km, and Team Frostbite from Sweden with 20.2 km. All three teams already took part last year. The first new team is Team Sumin from Poland, who did very well with 19.1 km.

What a weekend it was at the EX SwimRun! Compared to last year, conditions were significantly tougher, with air and water temperatures more than 10°C lower. Athletes and organizers alike were tested by cold water, strong winds, and choppy waves throughout the event.
The EX organization team—Nicholas, Elisabeth, and Per—handled the challenging circumstances with impressive professionalism. They made swift, overnight course adjustments to ensure participant safety, adapting swim sections on short notice. Despite the extreme weather, the dropout rate remained remarkably low, reflecting both the resilience of the athletes and the competence of the organizing team. A big round of applause to everyone involved!

-Finnhamn Experience: 6 km
-Finnhamn Sprint: 13,5 km
-Finnhamn Half: 21-24 km
Stockholm Archipelago is a world consisting of more than 30.000 islands. Some are several km wide and some are just a rock sticking up out of the water.
Finnhamn is right in the middle of this heaven for swimrunners!
Large parts of Finnhamn are nature reserves and nature offers a mix of wide views, hilly terrain and agricultural life.
Finnhamn is a magnificent archipelago, the barren outer archipelago with rocky outcrops, juniper bushes and small beaches, archipelagos, flower meadows and lovely deciduous halls and breathtaking views!

EX Long 24K, EX Short 14K, EX Five 5K, EX Supersprint Invitational & the EX Falcon Mountain Base Jump Competition.
At EX we offer fast and fun races with relatively easy running sections combined with a lot of swimming as EX Long and Short courses have a Swim Factor (SWIFA) of +20% challenging for all. Both races finish off with the Falcon Mountain Base Jump 6m straight into Edsviken for the final 950m swim and push to the finish.
On Saturday you can watch the EX Supersprint, the Swimrun Supersprint World Championships, and in the evening enjoy the inaugural Falcon Mountain Base Jumping Competition. On Sunday all three EX races Long, Short and Five take part in and around Edsviken just outside of Stockholm.

Enjoy the sandy beaches and cliffs of the New England coast while racing SwimRun Cape Cod in 2024.
This unique race — one of the few swimruns held in the United States — offers two distances.
The longer course offers 16 kilometers of running and 3k of swimming across seven fresh-water crossings. The shorter distance offers 7k of running and 1.5k of swimming with four swim segments. You may race solo, or form a team of two.

There has been a top-class SwimRun event near Berlin since 2016: the SwimRun Rheinsberg. The German capital is not just about fashion trends and partying, but is also a well-known hotspot for endurance athletes, including its surrounding area.
653 competitors took part in this year SwimRun Rheinsberg, in Brandenburg. Wonderful forest paths characterize the different distances as well as the Grienericksee, the enchanted village Warenthin or the Poetensteig, on which already the famous German writer Theodor Fontane walked. Just before the finish, the views of the city and Rheinsberg Castle are at their best. Nature, sports and lots of fun are guaranteed on the most refreshing day of the year!
